Introduction

Sabrang Research Journal is an independent, peer-reviewed academic research journal dedicated primarily to the study and critical exploration of Urdu language, literature, culture, and related areas of humanities and social sciences.

The journal provides a scholarly platform for researchers, teachers, students, and independent scholars to present original research, critical studies, analytical essays, and other academically relevant work. It particularly welcomes research that contributes to the understanding of Urdu literature and its diverse intellectual, historical, cultural, linguistic, and comparative dimensions.

Sabrang Research Journal aims to encourage serious and original scholarship and to provide researchers with a fair, transparent, and academically rigorous publication process. All research articles are evaluated through the journal's editorial and peer-review procedures before publication.

The journal is published twice a year, with issues scheduled for June and December. The journal may also publish special issues or thematic collections when considered appropriate by the editorial team.

The journal welcomes scholarly contributions in areas including, but not limited to:

  • Urdu literature and literary criticism;

  • Urdu poetry and fiction;

  • Urdu literary history;

  • Urdu language and linguistics;

  • Translation studies;

  • South Asian literature and culture;

  • Interdisciplinary research related to Urdu and the humanities.

The journal is currently being developed as an independent scholarly publication and is not affiliated with or published by any university, government institution, or other academic institution.
